Everyone Deserves To Feel Welcome.
We envision a world where Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals can move through life with confidence, dignity, and belonging. BEE exists to help make that world possible.
Accessibility Starts With Understanding.
We believe inclusion isn’t about changing people — it’s about changing environments.
We believe every family deserves to enjoy everyday moments without fear of judgment.
We believe kindness should be the standard, not the exception.
And we believe that when businesses, families, educators, and communities work together, everyone benefits.
Our Why
My son Rio, who is non-verbal and Autistic, experienced a sensory meltdown at a restaurant. Instead of compassion, we were asked to leave. As I sat outside wiping away my tears with my daughter’s little bumblebee blanket, I remember asking myself, “Why can’t people just be kind?”
That moment became the beginning of everything.
I realized families like mine weren’t looking for special treatment. We were simply looking for understanding. We needed to know where we would be welcomed, where staff understood sensory needs, and where our children could simply be themselves.
As a mom on a mission, I founded Just Bee, and later created the BEE Platform to help make that possible. My mission is to make everyday life a little easier for Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals and their families by connecting them with sensory-friendly businesses, supportive communities, trusted resources, and people who truly care.
Before becoming an advocate, I spent more than two decades as a professional performer, award-winning choreographer, and owner of Layla Dance Academy. Today, I have dedicated my life to turning compassion into action and helping build communities where everyone feels understood, included, and welcome.
Because every person deserves the opportunity to simply BEE.
The Journey
BEE began with Just Bee, a nonprofit dedicated to creating a more inclusive world for Autistic and Neurodivergent people through advocacy, education, and awareness. That mission grew into Rio’s Law, which has now passed in South Carolina and Georgia, with more states working toward similar legislation.
BEE is the next chapter. Just Bee is the proud sponsor of BEE, funding the development of the app and turning its mission into technology that helps people discover places, experiences, and communities where they can feel understood, supported, and welcome.
